Our Story

We are a Wisconsin Yarn Shop that is your one-stop source for high quality yarns and associated supplies. Located in the beautiful rural area of southeastern Wisconsin, we are the area’s largest shoppe that is dedicated exclusively to fulfilling the needs of knitters and crocheters. The yarns, patterns, books and accessories are of first quality and not items you will find in the discount stores. By taking a drive to our shoppe you will be pleased to see a brand new, well-lighted shoppe that was designed to make shopping for yarn and other supplies a pleasure. There is an area to relax, talk with other people and, of course, knit or crochet. Our goal is to make your trip worthwhile, fun and even offer help if you should ask.

Needles n Pins opened in 1993; however, my teaching experience and helping people with knitting and crocheting goes back many years. As my love for and proficiency in these crafts grew, so did my desire to find good quality yarn and supplies. Likewise my frustration increased as I could not find a wide enough range of good quality supplies. So, Needles n Pins Yarn Shoppe was created.
From my start in a small garage I have developed the shoppe into what I have been told “is a well stocked, friendly shoppe, well worth your trip to visit.” If you find it difficult to visit the shoppe directly, feel free to correspond via the Internet; and I will be happy to assist you and ship the needed items to you.

The shoppe is located in the heart of rural America where quality and service are still very much a part of any good store. Even though the shoppe is in the country in southeastern Wisconsin, it is only 50 miles from Madison, WI or Milwaukee, WI and less than 90 miles from Chicago. No matter which direction you are coming from, your trip would be on freeway and good quality state highways. Also, upon your arrival, you will see we have a driveway large enough to accommodate up to 20 cars or even a tour bus!!

In September of 2002 we added a 16ft x 20ft addition onto the shoppe. It is filled from floor to ceiling as well as wall to wall with more yarns for you to choose from. We have also added a nice sitting area where you can sit, knit, visit, and browse through patterns. At times a husband or two can also be found there patiently reading while his wife shops to her hearts content! When designing the addition, we made sure it was just as light and spacious as the original shoppe so you can actually see the colors of the yarns you are interested in. No surprises in colors when you get home!
